Island View Cottage is nestled among mature trees on the shore of pristine Island Lake within the Huron National Forest approximately three hours north of the Detroit metro area.

The quiet setting on this lovely lake and the comfortable, modern cottage combine to make the perfect location for a peaceful stay for families or a small group of friends.

The cottage is fully equipped for your stay with a full kitchen, satellite tv, spacious livingroom and dining area, 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths.  The attached deck is the ideal spot to enjoy the gentle breeze, sunbathe, barbecue, or just gaze at the lake.  You can catch fish right off the dock or use the rowboat to fish and explore.  Campfires allowed in designated area.

Island View Cottage has access to hiking, fishing for bass, panfish, trout, pike and more.

Bird watching is excellent – swans, eagles, osprey, Kirtland warblers and more.

We are just a short drive from horseback riding, a miniature train ride, outlet shopping, restaurants, Hartwick Pines, golf courses…..ORV trails are right at our door.
